Low profile ceiling fan are specifically designed to protrude as little as possible and for their ceiling to blade measurement to be minimal.

The majority of fans come with a drop of approximately 30cm from ceiling to blade. This will suit ceilings with heights from 2.4m to around 3m. If you have a particularly low ceiling, there are models available that sit flush on the ceiling and therefore have less drop to the blades. If you are adding a light, this will also add extra protrusion so remember to keep this in your calculations.
