The Summer DC 48″ in white by Claro (CFCLSU2LWH) combines the traditional 4-blade ceiling fan design with superb functionality and efficiency in operation. The Summer DC is powered by an ultra-efficient DC motor that consumes only 19.5W at max speed and a tiny 3.5W at low speed!
This low energy consumption ensures low operating costs year round as the Summer also comes with a reverse setting for use during winter months. Reversing the airflow allows the fan to redistribute hot air trapped on the ceiling during winter when households turn on the heater. At the centre of this Summer is an integrated 18W CCT LED Light, which uses colour-changing technology to allow you to switch between warm, natural or cool white. The LED panel is also user replaceable, meaning it can be changed without the need for an electrician. A replacement is available for purchase as an accessory along with your fan.
Suitable for indoor installation, the summer is controlled via the 6-speed remote control, which features timer-off settings (2hr/4hr/6hr) and a reverse function.

This fan is excellent. Whisper quiet, very fast on high speed, and was easily installed by the electrician. It was delivered promptly from the company which made the buying process easy for us. The ability to change the colour and brightness of the light, while not that important to us, is special to our grandson, who loves the softer, more old-fashioned mellow light effect. I didn’t need to use the customer service as I purchased online and had no issues.

I bought two of these fans a few weeks apart. Great service quick shipping.
The installation instructions are relatively clear, only a bit of a fiddle to keep the fibre washers on when re-installing the blade screws. (Tip put a bit of grease or vaseline between the washer and the screw head).
Product works fantastically well.
Up to half fan speed you can’t really hear it and even at high speed it is blade noise not motor noise that is audible.
Two minor annoyances –
1) Our fans are in bedrooms and the LED light that comes with the fan is a little overpowered for the space, could halve the wattage and still have enough light.
2) Control of the light is by remote which makes it awkward to reposition the remote back to the holder at the door every morning or stumble through the room looking for the remote in the dark.
Its a good option at a reasonable price point.

Was a bit surprised the installation of change over fans did not allow for the switch where it was needed (going from AC to DC and remote control only required regular switch with out the fan control knobs.
I would have preferred this was in the original price, even if it meant the price $40 extra upfront. This seems like it would a very common thing and should at least be a warning (maybe I missed it?) Or pop up that it might be needed.
