The upturned ends of the blades seem to improve the air flow when sitting in a position not directly underneath the fan.
This fan is also quite stylish and has a lovely smooth matt finish. The remote control is easy to use. The only negative so far is that it can’t be controlled from a smart device, which means yet another rc has to sit around somewhere or be mounted on the wall.
