The Summer DC 52″ in white by Claro (C2101/101A) combines the traditional 4-blade ceiling fan design with superb functionality and efficiency in operation. It features 4 quality timber blades spanning 52″ (132cm) and is powered by an ultra-efficient DC motor that consumes only 34W at max speed and 3.9W at low speed!
This low energy consumption can only result in lower operating costs for households year round as the Summer also comes with a reverse setting for use during winter months. Reversing the blade spin allows the fan to redistribute hot air trapped on the ceiling during winter when households turn on the heater. At the centre of this Summer is an integrated 18W CCT LED Light, which uses colour-changing technology to allow you to switch between Warm White 3000K, Natural White 4200K and Daylight 5000K colour temperatures. The LED panel is also user replaceable, meaning it can be changed without the need for an electrician. A replacement is available for purchase as an accessory along with your fan.
Suitable for indoor installation only, controlled via the included 6-speed remote control, which features timer-off settings (2hr/4hr/6hr) and a reverse function.

Was a bit surprised the installation of change over fans did not allow for the switch where it was needed (going from AC to DC and remote control only required regular switch with out the fan control knobs.
I would have preferred this was in the original price, even if it meant the price $40 extra upfront. This seems like it would a very common thing and should at least be a warning (maybe I missed it?) Or pop up that it might be needed.
