I purcased 4 for our bedrooms, they arent entirely whisper quiet, being AC motor, you can hear a small amount of humming. Its not enough to bother me but hope it doesnt get louder over time. The fans distribute a strong breeze, and I have only needed the lowest setting so far.
I would say if you want 100% whisper quiet, purchase DC fans for your bedrooms, but these are amazing for living spaces, we also have 3 on our deck out the back.
Video is the fan noise on fastest speed. I ordered the fans on a Friday and had received by Tuesday. Quick order processing and delivery.
